Make up Artist

We are seeking a talented and experienced Makeup Artist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating flawless makeup looks and hairstyles for talent across various mediums, including film, television, theater, and live events.

Responsibilities

• Talent Consultation: Communicate with actors, models, presenters, or performers to understand their preferences, skin types, and desired looks for the production.
• Makeup Application: Apply makeup professionally and skillfully, ensuring it enhances facial features, complements costumes and lighting, and aligns with the overall artistic vision.
• Hairstyling: Style hair and wigs according to character requirements, ensuring continuity and cohesion with the overall look.
• Special Effects Makeup: Utilize advanced techniques, such as prosthetics, to create special effects makeup looks for characters or specific scenes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with directors, costume designers, and other crew members to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing final product.
• Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest makeup trends, techniques, and products to bring fresh and innovative ideas to productions.
• Preparation and Organization: Prepare and organize makeup kits, ensuring all necessary tools and products are readily available and properly maintained.
• Continuity: Ensure continuity of makeup and hairstyles across multiple takes, scenes, or days of production.
• Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene standards and safety protocols when working with makeup products and tools.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Makeup Artist, preferably in a production environment (film, television, theater, etc.).
• Formal Training: Completion of a recognized makeup artistry program or cosmetology degree.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in various makeup techniques, including beauty, character, special effects, and prosthetic application.
• Hairstyling Abilities: Proficiency in hairstyling techniques, including cutting, coloring, and styling wigs.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work meticulously under time constraints.
• Creativity: A creative mindset and the ability to bring characters to life through makeup and hairstyling.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with talent, directors, and crew members.
• Time Management: Excellent time management skills to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of makeup and hairstyling work for various productions.
